This is the land of De Friese Wouden; the tree-rich green pearl of Friesland. Forests, heathland, wooded banks. alder belts. stream valleys, heathland and moorland; variety is plentiful here for the cyclist. But the beautiful southeast corner of Friesland has much more to tell. The history of peat extraction, company canals, monumental states, stately homes and estates and various open-air museums show both the rich and poor side of this special region. Because of the enclosed landscape it is wonderful cycling here every season!

You decide your own route and the number of kilometers you want to cycle. You can cycle in two directions, from junction to junction. Remember the number of the starting point where you start, so that, if you wish, you can end at the starting point again. At each junction you can choose the direction in which you want to continue your route. The distances between the junctions are indicated on the map.
