After a good night’s rest and a hearty breakfast, you'll be ready to hit the road. Leeuwarden has several museums. One you should definitely not miss is the Princessehof Keramiekmuseum (Ceramics Museum). This former city palace of Maria-Louise van Hessel-Kassel, matriarch of the Orange Nassau’s, is filled with the finest pottery, porcelain, and other ceramics. Relics dating from well before Christ to contemporary utensils: you will find it all there. The changing exhibitions are a feast for the eyes. Although the ceramics museum is in an old building, all floors are accessible by the lift. The Princessehof strives to be as accessible as possible for everyone.
