Feel the warmth during Spring Concert Roon Staal in Hijum
Sunday 18 May
When the first notes are heard, it becomes completely silent. The beautiful piano playing and the warm tenor voice surround you as if to wrap you up in a warm blanket.

Singer-songwriter Roon Staal is touring the Netherlands again with his concerts and will visit Uniastate in Bears on Sunday 11 May at 15:30. In fine weather, the concert will take place outdoors, in bad weather we will go inside.
From musical to piano concert
From an early age, Roon Staal performed in the bigger theatres such as Carre Amsterdam, Luxor Rotterdam and the Beatrix Theatre in Utrecht. He played leading roles in the musicals Les Miserables, Tommy, Rembrandt and Petticoat, for which he was nominated for a Musical Award. These larger theatres have since given way to smaller theatres and churches, where Staal tours with his stylish piano concerts.
Friend of Art Garfunkel
Roon Staal is like no other able to convey the emotion and story of each song to the listener. Art Garfunkel, from the legendary duo Simon & Garfunkel, recognised this talent and visited Staal at home in North Holland. They became friends, meaning that Roon Staal could be Garfunkel's opening act on a European tour.
Walking and football
In addition to his passion for music, Staal has two other passions; walking and football. His walks have already taken him to Belgium, France, England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland and currently through Norway. He is also the owner of the largest youth football tournament in the Netherlands, which has been around for 20 years now.
Listening music
During the concert, Roon Staal will play well-known cover songs by Boudewijn de Groot, ABBA, Simon & Garfunkel and many others and he will perform his own beautiful works. He will also take you along in his life by telling personal stories. In short, it promises to be a warm and intimate Spring concert.
