There is a good chance that you have never heard this BODEM-BUIK-BREIN (BOTTOM-BELLY-BRAIN) story before and that you will see the world completely differently after seeing the performance. Glashouwer Theaterproducties makes innovative and humorous theater that encourages you to think and expands your awareness, about our monetary system, about communication and about death. This time Dette Glashouwer and composer and musician Joop van Brakel will take you on an adventure again.

What is the soil, what do we walk on and what keeps us alive? We discover that our belly is directly connected to it. A handful of healthy soil contains as many microbes as there are people on earth. Our belly contains more animals than we have cells. We see how they hunt, reproduce, eat each other and excrete again. If it is microbes that send signals from the intestines to our brain, who are we? And who is actually addicted to chocolate?

The bond between man and its soil has never been so tangible as in Bodem Belly Brain. Two performers with 30,000 billion extras each. Nothing in this performance is made up, the discoveries themselves are absurd enough.

Audience reactions: "Simply moving." "What an important performance." "From Portugal via France to Norway, this touches everywhere."

Credits: Dette Glashouwer (text and acting), Joop van Brakel (music and acting), Dirk Groeneveld (direction), Jeroen Dietz (image), Leonie Jupijn-Wenting (publicity), Karin van den Berg (business management).

Don't miss it. Come, experience and see the world from a different angle.
