A museum-style theatre church in the middle of the vast landscape of Jellum. With 75 seats. Unprecedentedly unique. ‘Jonker Sicke van Dekema’ is the inspiration behind this theatre. He lived in the early 17th century. His crypt was rediscovered and it has been restored and can be visited

The theatre church of Jellum is museum-like, theatrical and musical.

A unique atmosphere in a beautiful landscape.  You can come here for lectures, concerts, meetings, cabaret, children's shows, dinner performances, etc..

Close to the city, yet feeling completely out of it.

Unique is the burial vault of Jonker Sicke van Dekema. This lawyer died in 1625. His crypt has been fully restored and can be visited!

This man is the inspiration for the theatre. He travelled extensively and studied at several universities in Europe. Over 400 years later, his travels are still a source of inspiration.

This is also reflected in the menus during the dinner performances. An experience for ears, eyes and taste buds.
