Welcome to my kitchen. With more than twenty-five years of experience in both hotels and restaurants around the world, I have been able to taste the different cuisines that our world knows. These experiences have inspired me tremendously. Yet I keep coming back to my roots; cooking the purest Thai dishes as we are still used to doing at my home, in our small village of Khong Chiam. In my own kitchen I prepare traditional Thai dishes for you with locally available fresh ingredients. Bringing Thai street food to the restaurant.

Thai-by-Jai opened its doors on May 14, 2019. Many satisfied customers already know where to find us and we are very happy with that. With 36 seats and an open kitchen, our restaurant has an intimate and casual atmosphere. Weather permitting, you can also visit our terrace, where you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine in the sun. Our staff consists of a mix of Thai/Dutch people living in Friesland and international students from Stenden-NHL. We train our staff ourselves in our restaurant to provide our guests with good service with a smile in a warm, homely atmosphere.
