Klein Geluk
17 May until 24 August
100 days of surprising literary highlights in Leeuwarden
Do you know those little moments of wonder or happiness? They overwhelm you on the street or in nature, they are in objects, encounters or smells. From 17 May to 24 August, Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Leeuwarden will surprise you for 100 days with literary highlights that pop up all over Friesland.
Klein Geluk (small happiness) appears in many forms: from short texts in the wild to the unexpected appearance of complete stories. Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature asked 100 writers and poets to put on paper what moves them, in a form that suits them. Contributions include those from Thomas Heerma van Voss, Anne-Goaitske Breteler, Tsead Bruinja, Marjoleine de Vos, Yorick Goldewijk and Elisa Shua Dusapin.

How do these stories appear? That's a surprise! We work together with various artists and organisations to bring the texts to life in special ways. Pay close attention, because the texts pop up where you don't expect them.
