On Saturday 2 May, the opening of the water sports season will take place in Leeuwarden. Enjoy free water activities for young and old between 13:00 and 16:00. The programme will take place at several locations in the city. In the city centre of Leeuwarden, the opening will be festively celebrated with a music programme on the Nieuwestad and in the Prinsentuin. There are also various water activities in Leeuwarden. For example, there is the possibility to go sailing on a boat there are several canoe and sup activities and there is a fun programme for kids.
