Acqua Forte Parade
October 9, 10 & 11
This weekend, French theatre makers are transforming the Leeuwarden city canal at the Noordersingel and the Prinsentuin into a fairytale dream that stimulates all your senses. Dreamlike images will emerge along a 300-meter stretch on both sides of the route. The event is free to attend and suitable for all ages: find a nice spot in the park, and the parade will pass by as a floating spectacle.
Reopening De Harmonie
October 3 and 4
Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie will be festively reopened on October 3 and 4 after months of renovation. During this opening weekend, there are numerous different performances; from cabaret to classical, and from special dance shows to colorful family exhibitions. From Syb van der Ploeg to Khalid Alterch and from Alexander Kashpurin to the Faso Danse Theatre: there is something beautiful or surprising for everyone.

Friday October 2
What do a lighthouse, the Belfry of Bruges, and an iconic tall bell tower have in common? In 'The Lighthouse', 'In Bruges', and 'Vertigo', the tower plays an unforgettable role in each case. From oppressive isolation to acrophobia and fateful encounters: in every film, the tower takes on a unique meaning. And where better to witness this than in, yes indeed, a tower? On October 2, the Oldehove transforms into a special cinema, where the towers on the silver screen meet the special place in which you view them.
