11Fountains
If you have ever traveled to Leeuwarden by train, you have undoubtedly seen them: the serene children's faces of the LOVE Fountain. In honor of Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018, the year Leeuwarden was the European Capital of Culture , all eleven Frisian cities have been given a fountain. A walking route has been created for each fountain that leads you past all the city's highlights. In Leeuwarden, view the 'Love' fountain by Jaume Plensa and let yourself be surprised during the walk. Curious about the other fountains and cities? Discover the eleven cities of Fryslân.
