A boat tour through the old city center of Leeuwarden is the perfect way to get to know Leeuwarden. Once situated as a small port town on the Middelzee, it has grown into the capital of Friesland. You can board one of our barges at Nieuwestad 86, opposite Aktiesport.
'Second Screen' Canal Tour
The guide takes you along using old photos, drawings, and paintings that we display on a large screen (second screen) at the front of the barge. This gives you a good picture of Leeuwarden Then and Now. As a result, the cruise is very entertaining, informative, and... naturally, enjoyable.
